Research Interests

  • Insan’s research interest is in the area of colloidal quantum dots, metal oxide semiconductors, and organic semiconductors. These materials have shown a great potential in semiconducting building blocks for (opto)electronics applications, such as field-effect transistors (FETs), light-emitting transistors (LETs), solar cells, water splitting, and thermoelectric generators. Also, they are adavantageous since they are compatible with low cost device fabrication methods such as spin-coating, dip-coating, ink-jet printing, and roll-to-roll processes.
